Christian Service
Students in grades 5-8 are required to perform Christian service hours as part of their religion curriculum. The purpose of community service is to encourage the student to go outside of their immediate family and friends to reach out to others in the community. Each student is responsible to print the necessary forms (see below) to document their hours and provide verification forms/letters. All papers must be submitted into their religion teacher at the end of each trimester. Service hours can be divided into service for the school, service for the family, and service for the local community/parish. To ensure completion of service hours, documentation must be provided along with service sheet. See below for examples of verification forms and letters.
Service hour requirements are as follows:
Grades 5 and 6: Fifteen (15) hours (5 hours per trimester)
Grade 7 and 8: Thirty (30) hours (10 hours each trimester)
