"My experience in Washington D.C., Colonial Williamsburg, and Jamestown was incredible! Former alumni said that the trip was like stepping right into the past and into their textbooks...and boy were they right! I was amazed with all the historical monuments, memorials, and museums that we visited. Also, I was left without words when I saw and learned about the amount of servicemen and women who dedicated their lives to a belief and sacrificed so much for their country. Overall, I had an unforgettable time with my CCS family! I hope to visit our nation's capitol soon."

"This trip was amazing!"
We walked back in time and relived our nation's history. This trip was amazing! From the 7:00 mandatory breakfast.. the Library of Congress.. American History Museum.. to the Jefferson Memorial.. spending spring break with my friends (and teacher) in D.C. was unforgettable.

"I wouldn't let this opportunity to visit our nation's capitol slip by."
"I was looking forward to this trip for three years and believe me I wouldn't let this opportunity to visit our nation's capitol slip by. I was always intrigued with our former presidents when learning about them in class or looking at pictures of all the memorials (e.g. Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, FDR) in books, magazines, and postcards...but to stand just a few feet from them were just…breathtaking; my two favorite moments were visiting the Lincoln Memorial and the WWII Memorial. What made this trip most memorable for me was traveling with my friends (rushing through the airport, playing charades on the bus, having breakfast at 7:00 am together, making snack runs, staying up late and hanging out). Thanks for the memories everyone. Also, thanks again mom and dad!

Visiting the Newseum
Question: How was your experience in Washington D.C.?
My experience in D.C. was amazing. I learned so much. Our group visited so many memorials and museums. My favorite was the Newseum. We were able to see news articles from around the world, Pulitzer Prize winning photographs, and even pieces of the Berlin Wall. There was so much to see and do in the nation's capital. Going to Washington D.C. is an experience like no other."

"We've learned so much about our country's early struggle for independence, freedom, and quest for self-government in class. We read the texts, watched the videos, seen pictures, but to stand in front of the Declaration of Independence and U.S. Constitution was just amazing. This trip made our lessons come alive."

Q: Was your time in D.C. memorable?"
A: "What better way to spend your spring break than going to D.C. with your friends and History teacher (LOL). Instead of reading from a textbook or working on a project, we got to experience what our founding fathers lived through. Not only are you seeing history you're sharing this once in a lifetime experience with your friends. Thanks for the memories Señor Phamo :)

"... a rewarding experience."
Q: "Looking back on the trip, what did you learn from the experience?"
A: "The Washington D.C. Trip allowed me to fully recall the countless lessons and social studies lectures I heard in Mr. Pham's U.S. History class. I also learned many new things about our country's history and the formation of our government. This trip was educational, fun, and a rewarding experience. I hope to one day visit D.C. again!" - Joon Sung Class of 2012
"... a once in a life time opportunity."
Q: "What was your favorite part of the trip?"
A: "We loved every part of the trip, but our favorite parts were seeing the very beginnings of our nation. Our visits to the Jamestown Settlement, Yorktown Army Encampment, and Colonial Williamsburg were amazing; it was as if we traveled back in time. This trip was a once in a life time opportunity."
